Rust
If your home has an aging plumbing system, especially with galvanized pipes, rust can leech off of your pipes and flow into the water that comes out of your taps. This also happens in towns with aging water infrastructures, which is common in many places around the country.
Chlorine
Chlorine is a chemical that is added to water by your water supplier to avoid bacteria in water. Althought as soon as the chlorine effect goes, bacteria is formed again in your drinking water. It also have a very hard smell and taste that could lead you to fed up drinking water.
Limescale
Limescale is actually the result of hard water. Hard water is filled with minerals including calcium, carbonate, magnesium and manganese. When scale deposits are showing on your coffee maker, tea kettle, carafes and water glasses there is probably a “hard” problem in your home.
Microplastic
Past research has indicated that 5.25 trillion plastic pieces are floating in the ocean, but a new study says that there are 2.5 to 10 times more microplastics in the ocean than previously thought, while another recent study found that microplastic “hotspots” could hold 1.9 million pieces per square meter.researchers pose that microscopic plastic particles may also be entering water sources from the air.
Bacteria
Some of these bacteria can be harmful to human health. Drinking water with disease-causing bacteria, viruses, or parasites (collectively called pathogens) can make you sick. It is not practical to test drinking water for every type of pathogen, but it is simple to test drinking water for coliform bacteria. The presence of coliform bacteria can indicate there may be harmful pathogens in the water.
Dirt and Sediment
Water quality is a huge problem these days. Dirt and sediment is another problem in water. Although fine sediment particles might not be visible, larger sediment in your water can cause it to come out looking murky or muddy. It can also cause lead to the appearance of dirt-like particles in your water and ice.
